FORTH VALLEY FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
The FVFDA are a group of volunteers who are committed towards providing opportunities for children and youths to participate in football. We do this in an environment that fosters fair play, participation for all and player / coach development. We are also a fully constituted member with the Scottish Youth Football Association.
The FVFDA have two distinct sections to the association, a children's section for 12's and under and a youth section for 13's and above.
An executive committee looks after all aspects of the associations operations and this committee appoint a children's and youth's steering group to specifically look after those sections.
Our children's section has children from 9's to 12's playing in a development environment, which encourages them to enjoy the game without emphasing scores. These games are played on small sided pitches, starting with "Developmental Fours" for the 9's (without goalies). The 10's to 12's progress to playing 7-a-side games on half size pitches.
Our youth section, all games are played on full size pitches. The 13s play the first part of the season played in a developmental atmosphere. This becomes competitive for the second half of the season when they play for points and for places in the regional finals. The 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's & 19's play competitive football from the start of the season.
